My breath caught as Torin's kiss turned demanding, his tongue delving deep to claim my mouth. I moaned and arched into him, my hands sliding over the hard, corded muscles of his back.

He felt so good, so solid and real above me. I hooked a leg around his waist, wanting to pull him closer, to feel all of him. Torin growled low in his throat, the sound sending a shiver racing down my spine.

He broke the kiss and pulled back slightly to look at me, his dark eyes glinting with hunger. "Careful, Lily," he warned, his voice a deep, sensual rumble. "You're playing with fire here. If you keep tempting me like this, you're going to bring out a side of me that's pure animal."

I swallowed hard, my heart racing at the barely leashed power I could feel thrumming through his body. "What if I want to play with fire?" I breathed, boldly holding his gaze.

Torin's jaw clenched, his nostrils flaring as he fought for control. "If you're not absolutely certain that this is what you want, then you need to leave. Now. Before we cross a line that there's no coming back from."

I hesitated, a sliver of doubt worming its way through the haze of desire. This was all happening so fast. Torin was still practically a stranger to me, for all the intense connection between us. Was I really ready to just give myself over to him completely?

But then I thought about the alternative - going back to my boring, lonely life, with nothing to look forward to but more of the same drudgery, day after day. Torin was offering me a chance at adventure, at excitement. At feeling truly alive for the first time in so long.

Even if this led nowhere in the end, even if it burned out as quickly as it had ignited, it would still be worth it for the thrill of the experience. I knew I would always regret it if I didn't seize this opportunity with both hands.

I reached up to cup Torin's face, my thumb brushing over the seam of his lips. "I'm sure," I said firmly, holding his gaze so he could see the resolve in my eyes. "I want this, Torin. I want you. Whatever that means, wherever it takes us. I'm all in."

My heart thundered in my chest as Torin's strong hands gripped my waist, lifting me effortlessly. I wrapped my legs around his hips, the heat of his body searing through the thin fabric of my skirt. He carried me across the room in a few long strides and pressed me up against the wall, his hips pinning me in place.

"If we do this," he growled, nipping at my lower lip, "there's no going back. I won't be able to let you go."

I threaded my fingers through his dark hair, tugging him closer. "I don't want you to let me go. I'm tired of always holding back, of denying myself what I really want."

A low, approving rumble emanated from deep in his chest.
